Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are the only specialized livestock Exhibition in Italy and the most effective way to enter into direct contact with the major players of the national agribusiness.

Cremona is strategically located at the centre of the major European agro-livestock system, right at the heart of Lombardy, whose production increased by 0.7% over last year:

  • An agro-industrial production worth 13.8 billion euros (16.8% of the national total)

  • An agricultural production worth 7.55 billion euros (14.1% of the national total)

  • 23% of Italian dairy cattle production

  • 47% of Italian pig production

  • 44% of Italian milk production

  • 80% of Italian pig meat production

  • An average farm area of 18.6 hectares (twice the size than in the rest of Italy and 27% larger than in Europe)

 According to Istat statistics, Italian agricultural economy is making a clear recovery: +5.6% growth at current prices and +3.8% volume growth.

The Italian agricultural sector has increased by 2.2% in terms of total employees (1.2 million). Self-employment has registered a 1.9% growth while employees number has increased by 2.8%. Average employment income is increasing by 5.7% and a 0.6% growth in agricultural investments shows signs of recovery after the sharp drop of the past years.

4% of Italian agricultural production is exported for a value of 37 billion euros while 22% of Italian agricultural enterprises directly sell their products.
