We chose Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions because the Italian agricultural market is very important for our business
We chose Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions since farmers working in the livestock sector are highly motivated to invest and the international event organized by CremonaFiere is very attractive for this target. Cremona and its surroundings, moreover, are full of important agro-livestock farms
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are the heart of Italian livestock farming, a true reference point
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are a true reference point for livestock farming and milk production. Moreover, Cremona is one of the few exhibition that still displays only what is strictly related to the sector. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are not an “inexpensive” Exhibition but does provide short-term positive results

“ “Participating into an International Trade Show as Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is really fundamental to us – explains Riccardo Fracalanza, sales manager of the Project Wellness Italia -.
Wellness Italia is a recent project born in 2013 basing on the importance of animal welfare.
To become a well established and consolidated project, it needs: partners investing in research and development, innovative and high-quality products, high-level technical service and visibility at national level.
We will exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions 2017 to share our “simple ideas for the welfare of your animals”.
Thank you to Vetails Technologies and Olmix Group”.
“ Bulgari Group identifies Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions as the most important meeting for professionals of the sector. The event drives our business all year long. Here we meet former and new customers. Therefore, we have chosen the 72nd edition to present all products and services provided by our group. In fact, Bulgari Group has developed a new analyzer which provides information on the main characteristics of milk during milking process, thanks to two decades of experience, Marco Bulgari, partner and technical manager, says. Meanwhile, a new ad hoc software can gather all data both on site and via remote access by PC, tablet or smartphone. Moreover, upgrading already existing system in farm with this technology is also possible.”
Exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions means providing support to our customers. Cremona is the starting point of the new year, the ideal place where we can present innovative products and new projects. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions strengths are: tradition, since customers really expect us to be there, and the high expectations we have about the Exhibition itself. Over the years, we gave up several commercial activities but we never gave up our participation into the Cremonese Show. This year we will present our new project THECA, our line of nutraceutical boluses born to provide effective solutions for the needs of the dairy cattle sector, that are: animal welfare and health, simplification of company management, less use of pharmaceutical products and increase in company profitability.
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are for us a strategical showcase as well as a precious opportunity to meet qualified breeders and sector professionals. Here we can present and share our philosophy, our products and our services. Over the last years, Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions have shown a growing dynamism. We really expect this year’s edition to be equally positive for the dairy cattle sector, also thanks to the participation of the company Veronesi.
Our participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is an important investment with an excellent outcome on our activity. It is for sure one of the best Exhibition for the agro-livestock sector. This is a regular event both for us and for our customers. Last year we presented a project that has fully been implemented this year, thus becoming a top product of our product range: it is an hydraulic machine for hoof trimming and cleaning that is having a great success.
After 28 years of activity we are going to change our name from Fis to NFT – New Feed Team, still maintaining headquarters and production site in Italy. Our production line will still consist of the 4 products we are well known for. We exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions because it is a key appointment for the Italian livestock sector and it is the ideal place to present our innovative products and to show our customers that we are always here, ready to provide them with excellent solutions
Our activity in Italy was born with this Exhibition. It was within 2014 edition that we first decided to import our biogas micro-plants. We continue exhibiting at Cremona because it is the best showcase for our technology: it is here that we meet the largest number of interested breeders. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are the starting point of our activity and so also our lucky charm. This year we will present some plants featuring technical innovations: we developed important accessories that enable, for example, the inside view of the digestor and the use of our plants with pig and broiler hens effluents. The Exhibition will be the perfect occasion to promote this technology also with this type of effluents.
Exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibition is not simply useful but rather fundamental. Cremona is the reference Exhibition for all the professionals involved in the livestock sector. Here we can meet all our customers of the dairy cattle and buffalo sectors coming from North and South. In 2017 we will present our hydraulic slurry mixer with joint transmission that can always remain in a horizontal position.
This year we have decided to exhibit since biogas plants need service and maintenance and ETS provides it, while the biogas world needs the services provided by TESSARI. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, the context in which BioEnergy will take place, are an important showcase and a strategic appointment. They are a true reference point at Italian level and, as exhibitors of the past editions, we can confirm the presence of visitors coming both from the North and from the South, along with the presence of many international visitors. To this extent it would be particularly interesting to develop contacts with countries like Romania, France and Great Britain, that are investing a lot in biogas.
Deatech Srl: We have been exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions because we think it is one of the major Exhibitions of the sector. Here we can meet our customer and international partners but also new partners who are interested in our projects for dairy cattle and pig sectors, as well as on natural Omega 3 Bleu-Blanc-Coeur nutrition. Our projects are based on important values such as animal welfare, feed security and reduction of environmental impact. This year we will present the new biscuit for sows, born from the cooperation with Ferri Group.
We have been exhibiting in Cremona for 30 years. This is a great Exhibition, it is the heart of livestock farming. We can’t miss this appointment, also because the Exhibition is becoming more and more international.
Exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is really important to us. Here, we can find breeding ground and we can get plenty of new contacts!
In our opinion Cremona is the most important Italian showcase for Friesian cows. By now this is the number 1 Exhibition!
We want to exhibit both to maintain a tradition and, above all, to attend a very important Exhibition in the North of Italy that attracts a wide audience. Last edition we enjoyed the new exhibit layout and we were particularly satisfied with our new position. This year in Cremona we will present our new range of products.
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are an important event for the dairy cattle world. It certainly is the most attended Trade Show of the sector that gives a high visibility to all the protagonists. Next edition will be the opportunity to present our new products for a better management of the livestock farm.
We exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions since this is a highly specialized event. It is the ideal place to meet many breeders both from Italy and abroad. This year in Cremona we will present “Electra”, the innovative 100% electric vertical mixer.
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are a well established reference point for the whole sector, or better the most important dairy event in Italy. We will be there with our three brands: TDM, Nutriservice and Block Nutrition.
We are historical exhibitors. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are the most important Italian event for the dairy cattle sector and 75% of our turnover comes from this sector, that’s why we can’t miss the Show. This is a not to be missed appointment!
Since 1975 we never missed a single edition of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, that means 40 years of history. The Exhibition is the showcase par excellence, the reference point for the market and the opportunity to meet all the professionals. And here we will present our latest products, such as: SmartWay, a new model of parallel milking stalls and the development of our technologies and our milking robots
Sgariboldi confirms its participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions 2017, since it is a qualified Exhibition offering important business opportunities at national level. The company, strongly oriented towards the developing markets, is confident about CremonaFiere internationalization efforts fostering development opportunities on new markets. 2017 edition will be for us the opportunity to particularly promote two products: Intellitechnology, a great innovation for unifeed preparation and Series 6000 machines, the perfect balance between series 5000 and 7000. These solid, manageable and high-performing machines well respond to the need of reducing gas emissions in agriculture and therefore to use the new Tier IV Final motors. Their motors are in compliance with current regulations on the emissions of Stage IV Final with AdBlue.
Cerealicola Rossi comes back to Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions with a double exhibition area in comparison to its last participation (of about 20 years ago). The enterprise based in Gadesco Pieve Delmona and founded in 1954, is nowadays a leader for agrifood businesses for non genetically modified and gluten free cereals and legumes. “ We manage several supply chains in different European countries. Cerealicola Rossi mainly deals with human nutrition. The activities relating to the agro-livestock sector amount to 20% of the company turnover but this year, the company decided to boost this sector again and Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions have been chosen as the best tool to relaunch it. The company has always aimed at “guaranteeing raw material quality and safety to produce non genetically modified and gluten free products with low toxin content and high production yields. That’s what we offer: cultivation contracts, seeds, technical means and support to our partners; raw materials for animal feed to livestock farms and by-products to energy companies.

Multitrax is a 20 years old company specialized in the global trade of trailers and semi-trailers of five important international brands: Felbinder, D-Tec, Kraker, Doll and Benalu. Multitrax is the exclusive dealer of these brands in Italy and also offers a wide range of services, from marketing to spare parts. “We have been promoting a true revolution for 3 years – explains Alberto Maggi, company CEO -. It is an integrated transport system that is already widespread in the North of Europe. Only means of road transport should travel on roads, above all because of a higher efficiency, safety and legality”. If we think about slurry or digestate transport, time and cost savings of road transports in comparison to an agricultural tractor with manure spreader are quite clear. “In Cremona – continues Maggi – we will present a national preview: CFAgri, a semi-trailer to be connected both to a tractor or to a truck for road transport. A true revolution that is an important step forward in terms of integrated logistics”. Multitrax is achieving positive results and gives farmers the opportunity to rent these innovative trailers to concretely discover their advantages. “This is the third year that we exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions – concludes Maggi. This is an Exhibition worth investing in because here we can meet the best partners for our products: biogas plant owners, slurry and digestate transporters and conventional transporters who see in our products the opportunity to expand their business”.

In 2014 Barentz reached a global turnover exceeding 800 million euros with customers from 50 different countries. Also in this sense the participation to an international Exhibition as the Show in Cremona is a fundamental strategic measure.
The difficult market situation, due above all to farm-gate milk prices, is likely to undergo a positive trend reversal. Entrepreneurs’ expectations are becoming more positive and the refound confidence could be a key element. Fa.ma.vit, 60 years-old feed-stuff company from Pompiano (Brescia), will be welcomed at Cremona International Livestock Exhibition by a different general atmosphere. Loyal Exhibitor, Fa.ma.vit will present the advanced version of a product especially conceived for pre- and post-calving enriched with natural D3 vitamins and developed to reduce ketosis, the main negative side effect of calving. “This product is very simple to use : from ten to fifteen days before and after calving. The results have always been positive and it can be fundamental in a period as delicate and important as the days before and after calving “ explain Fa.ma.vit staff. At the Exhibition in Cremona, Fa.ma.vit will launch a dense communication activity: the new website that is currently being updated and that will be fundamental to spread information about the company and to establish real time contacts with the professionals of the sector. “Our goal – continue the staff -is that of finding the solution to every need. This brought to the study, development and trade of compound, complete and complementary feed-stuff as well as mixtures with additives with a particular attention for pigs and cattle. Research is a solid base of our company strategy. Thanks to cutting-edge technologies it is possible to monitor raw materials, end products and different processing stages”.
Selected heifers and first-calving cows of the best Austrian breeds: from Brown Swiss to Fleckvieh, from Holstein to Tyrolese Grey cattle. Carefully selected high-quality cattle will be once again on stage during Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. De Poda, a business based in Cunevo (Trento), was founded at the beginning of the 1980s following a long familiar tradition and is active in the field of breeding cattle trade. It will exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions as exclusive partner of the Austrian Breeders Association. For De Poda this is a regular appointment that can’t be missed. “As usual we will offer a concrete demonstration of our company philosophy to all national and international partners” explain the staff of De Poda. “We always pay attention to our customers’ needs and we promote cutting-edge research in the field of dairy cattle. Our staff will be there to better present our offer in terms of commercial offer, expertise and professionalism”. From the 1980s to date, De Poda has always been a reference point both at national and international level. “One of our strengths is for sure the ability to move large quantities of cattle without lowering our quality standards and at a convenient price. Highly qualified partners enable us to directly select cattle among the major European organizations always putting animal welfare first”.
“For us Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions have been the Italian reference point for the whole sector for over 30 years. Here we can establish new contacts, above all at international level. At the Exhibition in Cremona, Arienti will present the special product “Elements Programme – Air, water, light and welfare” focusing on ventilation and cooling systems for animal welfare and milk production increase. “High production cows, in fact, are often affected by the negative consequences of heat stress, whose impacts are quite long – explain Arienti staff -. This special programme turns stables into a functional environment for animals without forgetting breeders’ objectives and it is in this sense that we can optimize costs and increase breeders revenues and animal welfare”. The final aim is of course that of promoting company competitiveness through efficiency enhancement and development.
For the third consecutive year, Danbred has chosen CremonaFiere to expand its contact network. The Danish company based in Herlev is a leader in the field of pig breeding. “During Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, we will present our well established and high-quality offer. A special focus will be on the hybrid piglet born from Landrace and Large White breeds. Also breeding sows of both breeds will be on stage” explain Danbred staff. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions will also be the opportunity to test the status of the pig breeding sector that is finally recovering. “As to genetics, we are quite satisfied and we maintain our standards high. Our prices are higher than those of our competitors and we are aware of this but we are also convinced that the price difference bases on several good reasons”.
DanBred International developed its products on the Danish program of genetic selection (DanAvl), thus being a complete service provider for professionals of the sector. Danbred provides its customers worldwide with a wide range of products that also include applied genetics solutions and wider services.

Each component has been studied to meet the needs of livestock professionals. We will present it here in Cremona because Pioneer has always found an extremely professional audience particularly interested in the solutions that we offer. All the visitors are highly qualified professionals of the agro-livestock sector”. Aurora NIR has been developed in cooperation with GraiNir, a spin-off of the University of Padua that has been cooperating with Pioneer Hi-Bred Italy for years to develop projects for the agro-livestock sector. “Aurora NIR ensures quick and precise fodder analysis both on-site and in the stable” explained Paolo Berzaghi, Professor of Special Zootechnics at the University of Padua and GraiNit Scientific Adviser.
Agrifarma has been dealing with the trade of technical equipment for agriculture and irrigation since 1983. This year, for the first time, it will exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions to become more popular among the international operators who will meet there and to communicate in a functional way the great value of Agrifarma service. The company, in fact, doesn’t only provide its customers with the necessary equipment for micro-irrigation plants, it also takes care of the plant itself, thus providing a turn-key system. “Farms frequently aren’t properly equipped for the construction of an irrigation plant – states Marco Luigi Grossi from Agrifarma. It requires the adequate machinery and qualified workforce. We can provide all this, thus offering a complete service also in terms of plant management, since the plant needs to be installed and dismantled according to crops seasonality”.The equipment for the management of water hoses is one of Agrifarma star products that enables farms to autonomously manage their irrigation plants. In Cremona, Agrifarma, distributor of Toro materials, one of the leading company of the sector worldwide, will also present innovative solutions for sub-irrigation, a system that is currently being tested and that under the right conditions could offer several advantages.
The importance of synergy is stressed also by Andrea Tolomini, director of Confcooperative Cremona. “The strategy we are implementing is that of favoring a better coordination of cooperatives also in relation to events and exhibitions. We have already tried this system during the Exhibition Vinitaly and we think that participating at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is really interesting from this point of view. CIS consists of a group of cooperatives already organized within a second level consortium. The idea to coordinate the participation at Cremona’s Exhibitions is shared by all the members with the aim of creating a cooperative network”. According to Tolomini this could be really advantageous: “on the one side it would favor a more uniform visibility and on the other side it would promote a synergy of initiatives such as workshops on specific themes. Each cooperative will have the possibility of offering technical analysis and remarks not only to their own members but also to the members of other exhibiting cooperatives. And last but not least visitors could find several cooperatives in a single place, without having to look for them”. For Cremona this would be a new experience that could pave the way to new synergies: “Thanks to our excellent collaboration with CremonaFiere we will be able to launch this project in October and we will do our best to further develop it”. As to market results Mr. Tolomini is very cautious but he admits that expectations are high: “I think that economic results will be achieved in the long-term but we are strongly convinced that this project is important also in the short-term. The possibility to tell farmers they will find us there is already a success because it is all a matter of identification and simplification that will undoubtedly be praised and that we think will have also positive effects on our market position”.
Agricam is one of the founding cooperatives of CIS. It is located in Montichiari and has over 2500 member companies and over 2000 clients. The headquarters consist of a fuel storage depot and a showroom for tractors and spare parts sale. Andrea Andreoletti, Agricam Director, strongly believes in the synergy fostered by the participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. “Since this is the first participation of CIS , there will be time for presentations – explains Mr. Andreoletti – and we want to explain what the consortium is and how strong the whole group of cooperatives can be. Starting point is the fact that the participating cooperatives deal with different activities but are related to the same members and clients. This means that the end-customers can freely choose what they prefers among our 360° offer. Our clients can then decide how to profit from our offer: they can decide to buy fuel but not tractors or to buy animal feed but not fuel. In short, they are completely free to choose”. Mr Andreoletti then adds: “Cremona is a melting pot for excellencies. It is a national and international showcase that’s why we thought it was important to participate. We want to take on the challenge to enhance our visibility and to widen our market horizons. We are located in the eastern area of Brescia, next to Mantova, our presence is strong in these two provinces and everyone there knows us. In Cremona we are not as popular as over there, but since the agricultural sector is really strong in this city as well, we think it is right to be there. Gaining a wider visibility in Cremona means also becoming more popular also in neighboring areas, such as the provinces of Lodi and Milan for example”.
Carb, the group of Brescia agricultural cooperatives, has its headquarters in Ghedi at Comacer and it is an important point of reference for farmers: “Farmers can profit from a wide variety of services – explains Mirko Zanardini, Carb director -. We will exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions because we want to show that we are able to provide wide-ranging services and solutions. In fact, we represent a complete production chain and we cover all the sectors: from seeds to animal feed, crops, storage and withdrawal centers, up to fuel and agricultural machinery”. Covering all the market shares and helping client is a priority also for Mr. Zanardini and doing all this in Cremona is even more important: “Some of our members come from Cremona but we want to increase our popularity in the area. Moreover we think that Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are very important for the sector: they are a great opportunity we want to profit from to present our model in the provinces of the area”.
Comazoo, based in Montichiari, produces and sells products for a total of about 270.000 quintals per month to be divided among animal feed, cereal flours, supplements and raw materials. Comazoo has been participating at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions for several years but in 2016 edition it will be present together with CIS: “the aim is that of stressing the importance of cooperatives – explains Giulio Bernocchi, Comazoo director – and I think that the main advantage will be the possibility to find better solutions to today’s problems thus providing farmers with a wider support. Participating together is without any doubt an enormous gain”. Mr. Bernocchi also refers to economic aspects: “ We can also talk about competitiveness. Participating as a member of CIS is something new and I’m really curious to discover what it means. I hope this will raise the awareness about the benefits coming from cooperatives and it will show that through cooperatives it is possible to meet every need”. Mr. Bernocchi thinks that Cremona is the ideal place to face this challenge since “exhibiting means having the chance to directly meet breeders and farmers, but also to establish new collaborations in terms of raw materials and products”.
Cosapam is a cooperative based in Secugnago, in the province of Lodi, operating in the breeding sector and cooperating with Carb. “This year, together with Carb, whose agronomical services we profit from, we have decided to enjoy a shared visibility by exhibiting very close to each other – explains Luca Santuari, Cosapam director -. This is a step forward to increase the popularity of this aggregation of cooperatives. Cosapam thinks that agronomical services are really important, even if in terms of turnover they still need to grow in importance. We think that this participation strategy is really important for our future growth. Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions are the most significant event of the sector in Italy and it is no coincidence that Cosapam has been participating since 1975. It is the only Italian appointment within the agro-livestock sector to give praise to our offer and in the era of social networks, face-to-face meetings still remain the favorite communication method.
“CremonaFiere has for sure adopted the right line – says Grigi – because today, more than ever, Italy needs to raise the quality standards of its production with high-level products and procedures. Our company is cooperating with our clients to create certified production chains to find new communication strategies for consumers and for large-scale retailing. As a matter of facts, we need to work as a system and therefore to communicate all together: animal feed producers, breeders, processing operators and dealers. If you want to be part of a real trade system, you need to stand up for it”.
The Special Area Milk Village represents for the Grigi Group and its clients the ideal environment to display its production chain consisting of real tests carried out within its dairy cattle and buffalo farms.
ProTech was founded in 2000 by Carlo Paglia, who wanted to give more value to those experiences coming from the cooperation with Purina and Bayer with the aim of adding value to the Italian livestock sector, in particular to the sector of ruminants. “We have been exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions since the funding of our company – says Carlo Paglia, founder and operational arm of Pro Tech – because we believe this is a fundamental showcase to present our company development, to launch new products and innovative solutions, to meet old and new clients, to maintain a good habit and to be present and visible on the market”. During the next edition of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, Pro Tech will present the THECA Project. “After one year of studies and trials carried out at the Zootechnical Institute of the USCS in Piacenza – continues Paglia – we obtained a ruminal bolus made of a starch-based theca that completely degrades through the action of rumen bacteria within a specified time limit”. This THECA contains neutraceutical active ingredients that will be daily released in a particular quantity (low re-leasing). For every metabolic disorder there will be a particular ruminal bolus that will release a certain amount of active ingredients in a period of time appropriate for each specific treatment (long-acting action).
LAMERI SPA, a company based in San Bassano, plays on home ground with its participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, an appointment not to be missed.
The company, specialized in cereal transformation and trade, has been confirming its participation for 20 years, underlines Mario Lameri: “Our participation is solidly rooted in our company history. We consider Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions as a fundamental appointment for the promotion of the quality of our products and to increase contacts with breeders, thus confirming existing synergies and developing new collaborations. It is a good showcase and a true opportunity to enhance our network and to present to the breeders the main production lines referring to our animal husbandry plant in San Bassano. Moreover, as the company owner points out, another key element of Lameri is the storage center for raw materials at Cremona canal harbor. This is a point of reference for breeders and animal feed producers”.
CARRA MANGIMI, a company producing technological and customized animal feed for cattle and pigs since 1933, is going to exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions as it has already done over the last 30 years. The company thinks this is a very important appointment to meet breeders and producers. It means sharing the expertise coming from the used technologies, the latest research on cutting-edge products, the achieved results and the new perspective of the sectors. One of the owners, Filippo Carra, says: “Exhibiting in Cremona means first of all participating in one of the most important Exhibition of the cattle sector at international level, and we are proud of this. Nowadays it is impossible not to exchange our experience with other European Countries and this is the ideal opportunity to meet the operators of the sector from all around Europe. This comparison is really important to find new ideas and food for thought to improve our production. As to the difficult market situation, we are ready to face it with our highly technological and customized product lines, together with qualified technical assistance to breeders. Cremona Inernational Livestock Exhibitions are the ideal environment to present and explain to breeders and operators of the sector our Blend Line with different grain sizes, all the specialized products such as those for dry cows or for calfs and Anhea integration line”.
Roberto Rocchetti from MA/AG, a company of the province of Cremona which has been producing agricultural machinery for 25 years at the service of an increasingly modern and more demanding agriculture, believes that exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is an excellent business card for a company. “ We exhibit because visibility on the territory is very important – he explains – and since there is a good participation from operators and visitors from all over Italy, South of Italy included, it is a good chance to show our machinery and to present new lines. 2015 edition was really satisfying and during the next edition we are going to present new scenarios involving different techniques”. Minimum till, direct sowing and cutting-edge technologies are the flagship of the company. According to Mr. Rocchetti, presenting the novelties at the Exhibition in Cremona is a good choice also because of the excellent events scheduled during the Exhibition. “The programme of events – he states – is carefully planned and the appointments are very interesting as they focus on highly topical issues and offer in-depth analyzes of important themes”.
Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is one of the most important events of the year for NUTRISTAR SPA, a company based in Reggio Emilia. Vanessa Iotti, head of the quality office, confirms it and underlines the sectors which will be the focus of the company participation to the Exhibitions. “Nutristar is highly specialized in the production and trading of mineral, complementary and dietetic feed, but not only, as it carefully pays attention to fodder plant seeds, to the microbiological preserved products related to them and to the environmental well-being of dairy cattle. This year as well the company is going to exhibit at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, as it is the most important appointment of the year to meet clients and friends”.
MANGIMI ROSSANA from Mantova exhibited for the first time in 2015 at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions and the impression was really positive despite the crisis that is hitting the sector. “It is true, we participated for the first time in 2015 – explains Gianluigi Cucco – and we achieved positive results, above all in relation to our network of contacts as it was an opportunity to meet old and new clients and to find new market outlets. These meetings are encouraged by the Exhibition environment. So we decided to participate again and over the next weeks we are going to point out the new products line we are going to present”.
New products and a direct contact with customers are the key words of AGRIBERTOCCHI SRL participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. Ruggero Bertocchi explains: “Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions in October will be the ideal chance to present new machinery of the brand John Deer, of which we are the major distributors in Lombardy. We think that exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions means meeting our customers, which is very important for us since we are mainly active in this area, but more in general it also means establishing contacts with the experts of the dairy cattle sector, who never miss a single edition of this Exhibition”.
Cargill is a point of reference in the trade of animal nutrition products. Meeting new and old customers is a priority for the company, that’s why Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is one of the most awaited events of the year: “ Without any doubt, that of Cremona is among the most relevant Exhibitions we take part into, if not even the most important one – explains Riccardo Vinciguerra, responsible for Cargill participation to Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions -. The pivotal role of the Exhibition is deeply rooted in its history and tradition. In Cremona, information campaigns are launched and developed all the year long and this is the starting point of our communications. During the next edition of the Exhibition, we will for sure present some innovations linked to our production”.
CORTAL EXTRASOY SPA produces safe animal feed with a particular attention for technological innovation, as Margherita Riva underlines: “Our company pays a great attention to new ideas and Cremona International Exhibitions is the ideal environment to promote them. In the 2016 edition we will present two new products. For us, this Exhibition is a regular appointment and I think it is essential for all the operators of the sector. We have always participated and this Exhibition is a powerful window for those who believe in innovation, such as we do”.
BOSSINI Srl, a company specialized in agricultural machinery trade, has chosen, once again, Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions to present a new production line: “During the next edition we are going to exhibit a slurry spreader – explains Simone Bossini – that could receive the European type approval and have a higher capacity than those who are circulating today following the national standards. We decided to present it in Cremona because we are deeply convinced that we will profit from the highest visibility. Moreover, the Exhibition will take place in a period which is optimal for us as we are planning to start selling the slurry spreader at the beginning of 2017, so autumn will be the perfect moment to start presenting it.
For INTERMIZOO SPA the participation at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions 2016 has a double value, as Massimo Callegaro explains: “Since January 1st we have become independent in the management of our exports. Earlier we were part of a consortium, but now we are autonomous. Therefore, we’ll invite all our foreign distributors to come in Cremona next October to present them our activity. We have always considered this Exhibition as the most important appointment of the sector and this year there is an additional input. We strongly believe in this event and we have high expectations about it”.
PIGNANOLI SRL, European leader in structural systems for cattle farming, is thinking to present a new ventilation system at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. “For us, this Exhibition is an historical appointment. It is impossible not to take part in it, even if our sector is facing the effects of a serious economic crisis – explains Annamaria Pignanoli-. Every year we decide to present in Cremona new products, and this will happen in 2016 as well: we are thinking about a new ventilation system, even if over the next weeks, other new lines are to be defined. Over the last few years, companies have been using different promotional channels. Telematic communication is of course really important but the direct contact with the operators we can meet at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions is a fundamental element”.
“The ideal moment to establish new commercial relations and to develop new projects”. This is how Maurizio Figini from SOP SRL, a company producing innovative products and solutions for agriculture, defines Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. Our company has been exhibiting for 15 years: “There, we have the opportunity to meet our clients, both Italian and international, but also the chance to meet new ones to establish new contacts for distribution, and to develop projects and commercial networks – explains Figini – . We think this is the ideal moment to present new products and ideas. That’s what we did last year and what we are going to do in this year’s edition”.
Progeo is one of the most important Italian cooperatives in the agri-food sector. On the account of its members it collects cereals, oleaginous crops and protein crops which will be then processed in the plant.
Progeo plays a leading role in the livestock feed sector, as well as in the field of milling and in that of technical agronomic tools.
Efficient plants, a wide range of products and the technical and commercial expertise make Progeo an essential partner when it comes to quality agriculture and animal husbandry.
Progeo, with a year production exceeding 400.000 tons of compound feeding-stuff, is one of the major livestock feed company at national level. Highly specialized and customized products, cutting edge production processes, regular monitoring of raw materials and of end products (in the company laboratory), professional operators offering high-quality support and a wide availability to cooperate with members and customers are Progeo’s points of excellence.
Moreover, Progeo is a leader in the Italian scene of the production of certified livestock feed from organic farming, sector in which the company aims at becoming qualified supply-chain partner for farmers and breeders. The company mission is that of promoting and boosting the production chain which is necessary for Italian high-quality productions. This is possible by linking the agricultural production of the members of the cooperative with the commercial expertise of a high number of skilled commercial operators who are trained to provide a specific and accurate technical support to satisfy all the customers’ needs and to improve the business environment.
“Over the last years, the major product development in Progeo has focused on the cattle sector – says Uber Iori, director-general of Progeo Sca – Progeo is active in all the sectors of animal husbandry: conventional, organic and non-GMO. Here are some figures: the cattle sector amounts to 54% of the production (of which 80% dairy cattle), the pig sector to 23%, and the poultry and rabbits sector to 20% mainly in the northern and central regions of Italy. We have been exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions since the 1980’s with a progressively growing exhibition area going from 32 square meters at the beginning to the 128 square meters of the last edition. Given that 50% of our livestock feed production has historically been connected to the cattle sector, the major national exhibition of this field has always been a fundamental and remarkably fruitful event to participate in. The programme of meetings and seminars of the International Livestock Exhibitions – finishes Iori – always offers good food for thought about the most topical issues of the cattle sector”.
The company F.lli Annovi owned by Annovi Marino has been manufacturing agricultural machinery, in particular manure spreaders and straw blowers, for almost 60 years, offering its great expertise to big and small farmers all over the world.
The company was funded in 1960 in Corlo di Formigine (Modena) by Marino Annovi, a determined and enterprising farmer and craftsman. He understood the need of improving the underdeveloped agricultural mechanization of that time and manufactured the first manure spreader with front turbine which was then patented in 1962. He also manufactured other agricultural machines such as trailers, self-loading trailers, trailed machines for forage cutting and loading. Today the company deals with the design and manufacture of agricultural machinery and is specialized in vineyard manure spreaders, manure spreaders with front turbine (with a capacity from 2,5 up to 23 cubic meters), manure spreaders with rollers, straw blowers and feeder, and liquid manure spreader for semifluid products such as olive or fruit and vegetables waste.
Two elements are at the core of F.lli Annovi company: the product customization according to the needs and requirements of all the different markets, and the product innovation.
The company has always counted on a technical office which is constantly in line with the times.
More than 45% of the production is currently being exported, thus confirming the expertise and the solidity of the company at national and international level.
“We have been exhibiting at Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions since 1962 – says Mario Annovi, owner of the F.lli Annovi company – because we are fully aware of the value of this exhibition both at national and international level. In Cremona we have both the chance to meet our retained customers who are interested in our agricultural machinery and the opportunity to meet new ones. This year as well we will be there and we will exhibit our high-performance manure spreaders. The smaller ones (mod. A25) can spread every type of manure in vineyards and orchards, the dispensing area can be set either manually or hydraulically by the user and the product is localized at the row base. The larger ones can transport and spread solid or semifluid manure and are suitable for forage transportation with lateral and rear discharge, with a maximum capacity of 200 quintals.
The working system of our machines offers a lot of advantages: the front discharge lightens the tractor load, the mechanical structure is simple but very robust, and the price is very favorable if compared to other manure spreader models.”
Alberto Rota, chairman of Confindustria Piacenza is developing a project of aggregation on national scale. In particular he is planning to structure more efficiently the agro-zootechnical chain and to create an Italian group able to compete with bigger international competitors.
This activity of networking draws inspiration from the activity of those “few multinational corporations currently holding an important market share” with the aim of presenting the Italian model as an excellent player all over the world. The project is being carried out thanks to the partnership established by “specialized companies spread all over Italy, motivated by the idea of defining complete production chain projects” explains Rota.
The up-coming events offering the opportunity to examine more closely the topic and the aims of the “Made in Italy agro-zootechnical chain” will be the exhibition of CremonaFiere about the opportunities delivered by bioeconomy (BioEnergy Italy, Green Chemistry Conference and Exhibition and Food Waste Management Conference, that will take place from April 20th to April 22nd, 2016) and Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions (October 26th – October 29th, 2016).
A PROJECT ON A GLOBAL SCALE. Alberto Rota, co-owner of the company Rota Guido srl of Fiorenzuola d’Arda (leader in the biogas sector and specialized in the design and manufacture of zootechnical structures) explains the origins of the action plan: “We realized the importance of this collective initiative when we were in Kenya to design, build and supply turnkey a farm equipped with renewable energies, completely self-sufficient in terms of energy and capable of producing every day about 30 thousand liters of milk, 1.2 tons of meat, 1 megawatt of energy from biomasses and 1.5 megawatt of energy produced by solar panels. The creation of a group representing the Italian model on international markets can be developed in several ways (consortia, company networks, temporary join ventures and so on), but the key element for competitiveness is transparency. According to circumstances it is possible that sometimes all the associated members will be involved, some others only some of them and in other cases only two of them. Response time must be identical for all, and the management of offers must be balanced. If one of the members makes an incorrect offer, the whole operation could be damaged: that’s why teamwork is fundamental”.
INNOVATION AND INTERNATIONALIZATION
As to innovation, the research activity carried out by Rota Guido Srl is following two directions, as Alberto Rota explains: “we aim at enhancing the ability to manage more efficiently the slurry produced by livestock farms and at the same time we aim at standardizing milk production through a global control of companies parameters: from animal welfare (fundamental to achieve good results) to the monitoring of farm micro-climate conditions”. As to internationalization, Rota says: “It is necessary to face new markets not with a ‘hit and run’ approach, but with the aim and the capability of showing that the company Rota Guido and its partners focus on the operators working in the customer company. This doesn’t only involve the selling of quality products, installation and education, but also training activities and support to the customers, so that they can derive the maximum advantage from their animals’ performance”.
